Hello all. This past week or so has been crazy! I have made a good few sales and had some wonderful interactions on the internet with fellow internet users and bug lovers alike.
Things are beginning to run a little more smoothly on the business sides of things (boring), and I’ve resolved to sending out extra prints with international orders as a thank you and to make up for the extortionate shipping costs. <3 My hope is that my customers are thankful of these gifts, as I am thankful for their patronage.
The awareness of my surreal insect paintings had began to grow slowly but surely over time too, with my social accounts slowly gaining views and followers bit by bit. I have begun to get recognised within the insect subreddits for my work now, which is a lovely thing. So thank you to all who participate in the viewing, commenting, following etc…
This tremendous support has inspired me to continue working on the paintings the people love so much, and while I work on releasing the prints of ‘Home Video’ and ‘Ladybird in the snow’, I am also working on completing another weevil painting and a painting with an asian longhorn beetle.
I’ve also received some requests of bugs and things to do, which I shall take into consideration (no promises). But expect many more weevil paintings as time goes on.
I also prepare for an exhibition in August, in my home town of Tamworth, England. Where my weevil paintings will be displayed, so keep a look out for that if you are interested in seeing my work in person.
